Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd receives demand notice from DoT for Rs. 13613.66 crore

Department of Telecommunication vide its revised assessment order dated 22.05.2020 in respect of NLD license for the F.Ys. 2006-07 to 2009-10 has asked Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (POWERGRID) to pay Rs. 13,613.66 crore on account of License Fee for the FYs 2006-07 to 2009-10, interest, penalty and interest on penalty. The same has been contested by the Company with DoT citing non applicability of the demand.

Shares of POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.169.2 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 164.45. The total number of shares traded during the day was 244806 in over 2892 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 169.85 and intraday low of 165.4. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 40987812.
