India's Defence allocation enhanced to Rs 105,600 Crore

The Finance Minister, Shri P Chidambaram has proposed to increase the allocation for defence by 10 percent from Rs. 96,000 crores to Rs. 105,600 crore. While presenting the Budget proposals for the year 2008-09 in the Lok Sabha today, he assured that any further amount needed for defence forces, especially for capital expenditure will be provided.
