Workers strike at IMFA's mines

Despite a valid wage agreement, the Union at Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd's Sukinda & Mahagiri Mines has ceased work from this morning after raising certain demands. We are studying their demands and shall look to resolve the situation at the earliest.

There is adequate stock of chrome ore at our plant sites and we do not anticipate any disruption in production.

Shares of INDIAN METALS & FERRO ALLOYS LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.334 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 308. The total number of shares traded during the day was 29774 in over 1202 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 344.35 and intraday low of 307.5. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 9818770.
