United Forum of Bank Unions calls for all-India strike

The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has given a call for strike on September 12, 2007 throughout the country in support of some of their demands. A section of the Corporation Bank's employees may take part in the proposed strike on the said day, if the strike materialises.

In view of this, it is likely that the normal functioning of its Branches may get affected. The strike might affect the operations of other banks as well.

The Corporation Bank stock was trading at Rs.339.30, up by Rs.4.45 or 1.33%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.340.75 and low of Rs.336.05. The total traded quantity was 3750 compared to 2 week average of 14332.
