Zensar Technologies offers Technology Collaboration to 33 universities in Hubei Province of China

Zensar Technologies Ltd has announced its offer to collaborate with the Hubei Province of China extending its Global Deliver Platform to support academic institutions in the province. 13 Chinese delegates visited the Zensar Headquarters today to sign the Memorandum of Understanding.

The two entities now have an agreed framework for cooperation to set up Centers of Excellence on the campuses of academic institutions in the Province of Hubei In China. This will equip the Chinese academic community with innovative tools and techniques in the IT and BPO Industry to enable them to collaborate, build competence and capability to become trained, globally employable candidates.

Ganesh Natarajan at the occasion said, "After the tremendous success of our Global Delivery Platform enabled technology collaboration in India, Essex and Sydney in a number of Universities, we are now pleased to extend this programme to the 33 Universities of Hubel In China, Increasing our global footprint, and also reiterating our commitment to China."

In the year 2006, 5 million students graduated from universities in China, and the employment rate is 60%. Hubei providence as one of the major provinces in China has generated 140,000 graduates; measured by the national standard ratio, and 60,000 graduates in Hubei will be facing employment issues. In addition, looking at the survey result of Chinese government, there will be a shortage of 200,000 IT positions in next 5 years.

The stock closed the day at Rs.217.50, up by Rs.3.95 or 1.85%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.219 and low of Rs.211.50. The total traded quantity was 10781 compared to 2 week average of 15008.
