Aditya Birla Nuvo's Indo Gulf Fertilisers Division Operation disrupted

Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd has announced that Fertiliser Plant of the Company at Jagdishpur had shutdown on account of collapse of urea cooling tower:

(a) Initially in middle of July, 2007 for a week and,
(b) Again, on August 12, 2007.

All efforts are being made to restart the plant at earliest.

The loss on account of the above is presently unascertainable as the Company feels that the losses (including loss of profit) are adequately covered under all risk insurance cover.

The stock closed the day at Rs.1308.30, down by Rs.36.85 or 2.74%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.1346 and low of Rs.1276.15. The total traded quantity was 19224 compared to 2 week average of 34757.
