RBI rejects Dhanalakshmi Bank's dividend proposal

With reference to the announcement dated May 14, 2007 regarding the Board had recommended payment of dividend at 10%, for the year ended March 31, 2007, subject to the approval of Reserve Bank of India, Dhanalakshmi Bank Ltd has announced that Reserve Bank of India has informed its inability to accede to the Bank's request for declaration of dividend.
The stock closed the day at Rs.81.15, down by Rs.0.90 or 1.10%. The total traded quantity was 33791 compared to 2 week average of 183100. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.83.50 and low of Rs.79.65.
