Gujarat Industries to consider setting up 0f 500MW Expansion Project

Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on July 27, 2007, has considered the proposal of setting up 500 MW with option to go for 20% plus / higher lignite based expansion project at Vil. Nani Naroli, Tal. Marigrol, District - Surat.
The job of preparation of Techno-Economic Feasibility Report & Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed expansion project will be taken up soon.
The stock closed the day at Rs.65.90, up by Rs.2.90 or 4.60%. The total traded quantity was 1134313 compared to 2 week average of 288562. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.68.20 and low of Rs.62.75.
