Diana Tea seeks Government approval for eco-based tea tourism project

Diana Tea Company Ltd has announced that the Company has got around 125 acres of unutilized and in one of its tea estates in North Bengal which is located at National Highway 31A. The said land is not fit for tea cultivation. Company had appointed M/s A. C. Nielson to survey the said land for the purpose of establishing an eco-based tea tourism. M/s. A. C. Nielson has submitted a very positive report for setting up such project in that area.

On the basis of the said report, the Company has applied to Government of West Bengal to obtain permission for converting the said and into Eco-basad Tea tourism Project. Company is also looking for Strategic & Financial Joint Venture Partners for the said project. The said eco-based tea tourism shall have resorts / hotels entertainment centres, tea museum etc. within itself for the tourists visiting that area.

The stock was trading at Rs.28.65, up by Rs.1.60 or 5.91%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.29.75 and low of Rs.27.40. The total traded quantity was 485146 compared to 2 week average of 407618.
