M-TAXI, India's first 2-wheeler Taxi service, has partnered with Paytm to integrate its payment wallet in the M-TAXI app. The collaboration is a strategic step towards making cashless payments on the go. As the most widely used mobile wallet in the country, Paytm's integration will provide an established option of payment to the customers of M-TAXI. Till now, the customers could pay only through cash for a ride and the Paytm wallet integration aims to remove this hurdle for time crunched commuters.
M-TAXI as a startup brings its technology platform with its on-ground fleet, to provide last mile connectivity from busy commuter intersection to their destinations. The startup has designed a customized technical platform that aggregates demand and calculates fare for the ride. For an enhanced customer experience, M-TAXI's recently launched android app has a clean UI with a design overlaid in the shades of yellow and black.
Increasing smartphone penetration and data usage is paving the way for rapid growth of on-demand services across verticals on the click of a button. With Paytm wallet, not only the travellers will get an additional option to select their payment mode, they will also get a break from the eternal struggle of carrying "change" for paying-off the fare.
Commenting on the partnership, Arunabh Madhur, Founder and CEO, M-TAXI, said, "M-TAXI is a technology company, providing easy and convenient last mile connectivity to the commuters in Gurgaon, in the first phase of its operation. We are expanding as a service and are constantly improvising our offerings. With Paytm wallet, we will be providing convenience to our daily customers for speedy, secure and hassle-free payments. Lesser transaction failures and shorter turnaround time for payment approvals makes Paytm a natural choice for a digital wallet partnership."
The commuters can use the wallet on M-TAXI app from the next updated version.
