Chinmaya Sandesh Vahini, a yatra for a year-long celebrations of birth centenary of Swami Chinmayananda arrived at The School of Inspired Leadership Gurgaon campus on 6th November at 8:00 am. The yatra was flagged off by the honorable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi on May 8 this year and shall complete its journey with the final celebration scheduled to be held on May 8, 2016.
Chinmaya Sandesh Vahini is an exhibition of Swamiji's life and work to all the Chinmaya Mission centers across the country. On this occasion, SOIL welcomed the members of the Chinmay Jyoti yatra with, music festivity, music and celebrations. The entire campus was adorned with flowers and rangoli's and the student and staffs were dressed in traditional attire to welcome the Chinmaya Jyoti Yatra. The event started with placement of Poornakumbham at SOIL's doorsteps and was followed by a heartfelt chanting of 108 names of Gurudev by the audience. The guests also had the opportunity to witness Guruji's life and artifacts that were displayed in the Vahini. A karma Rasoi breakfast was hosted at SOIL to mark the special day.
Karma Rasoi, is a unique social initiative by the SOIL Students that is inspired by the karmakitchen.org and is based on the philosophy of "Pay it forward". The students serve food to the guests with love and the guests are given an opportunity to continue the circle of giving and goodness by making a contribution. The proceeds from this Karma Rasoi will be used for the charity work of Chimanya mission.
The Karma Rasoi was followed by special prayers that were offered by SOIL students and staff. Mr. Anil Sachdev, Founder & CEO SOIL. Swami Mitranandaji and Shri Som Oberoi shared their experience of being in the presence Swami Chinmayanandaji. The students rendered beautiful hymns and bhajans on the occasion. The celebrations then extended to the DLF Community center.

We wish good luck to the Chinmaya Jyoti Yatra and aspire for a similar enthused second half of the year-long birth centenary celebration".
The later part of the celebration was organized at the DLF Community center. The District Commissioner of Gurgaon, Mr. T.L. Satyaprakash inaugurated the exhibition of Chinmaya Sandesh Vahini. The evening kicked off with a Dance Invocation by Radhika Ganju followed by a brief address by Swami Durgeshanand, Swami Mitrananda. The evening concluded with a Bhajan Sandhya by Sai Bhawani and Vidya Shah and a vote of thanks by Mr. Amitabh Nangia, Mentor & Director, Tricolite.
