Adlabs Films Ltd on July 30, 2007 has announced that it has reached the significant milestone of operating 100 screens across the country, making Adlabs the largest cinema chain In India.
The 100 screens are spread across 29 properties in 22 cities and will provide a total of approximately 31,000 seats bringing the Adlabs cinema experience to 2 crore patrons this year. These not only include several properties in previously under-served tier II cities, but also cover major film territories.
Manmohan Shetty, Chairman and Managing Director, of the Company said, "Adlabs Cinemas is fast progressing towards our aim of providing quality film-viewing experience to everyone in the country. In Spite of having the biggest film-producing industry and one of the largest film-watching audiences in the world, India is still vastly under-served in terms of cinema screens."
The stock closed the day at Rs.499.05, up by Rs.3.60 or 0.73%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.509.90 and low of Rs.488. The total traded quantity was 54050 compared to 2 week average of 93235.
