Visa Steel Plant shut down for maintenance work

Visa Steel Ltd has announced that the Company's blast furnace at Kalinganagar, Orissa had been shutdown for routine repair & maintenance work, when there was an accidental flame during the process of opening the tuyer. The repair & maintenance work is nearing completion and the Company is taking necessary steps to restart the blast furnace operations at the earliest, as per the directives of the Directorate of Factories.

The stock closed on Friday at Rs.33.30, down by Rs.0.90 or 2.63%. The total traded quantity was 24304 compared to 2 week average of 57536. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.35 and low of Rs.33.
