Kyazoonga opens office in heart of Silicon Valley

Kyazoonga, India's first and largest sports and entertainment ticketing company, has opened its Silicon Valley office. The Los Altos office will initially have about half a dozen employees, with plans to ramp up quickly, according to Neetu Bhatia, Co-Founder & CEO.

Kyazoonga, co-founded and led by MIT alums that quit their business and engineering careers in the U.S. to return to their native India in 2007 to start up a ticketing system that has served and democratized access to almost a third of the world's population, has developed a reputation for being ahead of the curve when it comes to its ticketing technology platform and IP. Innovation is in the company's DNA so opening up the Silicon Valley office is only natural as it deepens its focus on product and engineering. The new location will also have a team of salespersons for the U.S. market.

Kyazoonga is the only company from Asia to have qualified as a finalist for ticketing the Rio 2016 Olympics, the first for an Indian company to get this far in any service aspect of the Olympics in the entire history of the Games. It is also the only ticketing company in the subcontinent to have ticketed major international events - the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, all forms of international cricket (ODI, Tests, T20s), several international and domestic leagues and matches, including the Caribbean Premier League, Olympic style multiple-sport events, major concerts, festivals such as the Jaipur Literature Festival, and multiple venues.

According to Bhatia, the company plans to operate its major initiative KZ Labs out of the new office. "Given the propensity of the team to continuously tinker and play with new ideas, features and technologies in the ticketing and access sphere, it was only fit that we continue to build on this internal initiative by bringing in more talent that will continuously innovate to make our products serve our customers and community better. We are excited about what lies ahead of us and delighted to be a part of the storied legacy of Silicon Valley. In many ways, it is a homecoming for most of us who grew up professionally in the U.S."

The company, which has already begun ticketing several events in the U.S., is further reinforcing its commitment to the market across all its product segments, from full-service, end-to-end, sports and entertainment ticketing to its DIY ticketing platform iTicket.
