Tata Sponge Iron Ltd Quarterly Net Profit soars to Rs.165.3 Million

Tata Sponge Iron Ltd has announced the UnAudited Financial Results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Company has posted Net Profit of Rs.165.3 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs.30.4 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income is Rs.1030.2 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs.479.1 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

The company reported an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs.10.74 for Quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared to Rs.1.97 reported during Quarter ended June 30, 2006.

The stock closed the day at Rs.134.30, up by Rs.16.45 or 13.96%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.137.90 and low of Rs.119.50. The total traded quantity was 730229 compared to 2 week average of 94741.
