Aventis Pharma Q2 net profit down to Rs.37.3 Crores

Aventis Pharma Ltd has announced the following unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 373 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 439 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 2328 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 2484 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The company has reported an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs.16.22 during Q2 2007-2008 compared to Rs.19.06 in Q2 2006-2007.

The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on July 17, 2007, inter alia, has declared an Interim Dividend of Rs 3.50 per Equity Share of Rs 10 for the financial year ending December 31, 2007.

The stock closed the day at Rs.1415, up by Rs.7.75 or 0.55%. The total traded quantity was 4469 compared to 2 week average of 13778. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.1429.90 and low of Rs.1414.10.
