Geojit Comtrade is now Geofin Comtrade

Geojit Comtrade Ltd., a pioneer in the Indian commodity futures trading, announces change in name to Geofin Comtrade Ltd., with effect from November 26, 2014. The name change is part of a re-branding initiative to better align the Company's name with its future strategy and change in the structure of the company. Commodities Research, Advisory and Intermediation services viz. Broking, Procurement and Delivery of commodities are some of the services which forms part of its continued offering in Commodities. The name change reflects a wider vision and commitment to provide comprehensive solutions catering to the commodity value chain.
In addition, the company announces the recent appointment of Mr. Girish Dev as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Geofin Comtrade. Dev brings over 20 years of industry experience and has previously led organizations, from start-ups to large enterprises. He has extensive experience in the field of commodity trading and capital markets. He comes onboard after stints in senior management positions including, as Director, Capital First Commodities and as ED & CEO Networth Group.
Making the announcements, Mr. C. P Krishnan, Whole Time Director - Geojit Comtrade, said, "We have been nurturing an ambition to become the finest solution provider to our clients for all their needs in commodity trading. We are excited to have Girish join our team at this crucial phase".
He further added, "The new logo communicates that the company will be a 'partner' to the customers and associates."
Dev said, "We decided upon the name change and a fresh logo with a view to reflect our aspirations, vision, renewed commitment to our customers and our pursuit to constantly add value in every product and service that we offer. The change in the name does not bring any change in the constitution of promoters of the company."
Dev will set the overall direction and ensure the smooth transition of the company. He will be responsible for leading the company to become an integrated commodities service and solutions provider.
