The Suryaa welcomes passionate pâtissier Chef Nitin Upadhyay

Delhi's favourite hotel, The Suryaa, this month welcomes Chef Nitin Upadhyay and promises Delhi-ites a dessert experience like never before. An accomplished culinarian and expert pastry chef Nitin Upadhyay has achieved recognition not only for his chocolate and pastry creativity, but also for his leadership skills and ability to create some incredible dessert experiences for individual connoisseurs as well as large, high-profile dining groups.

He has enjoyed a stellar career of over 24 years across hotel brands such as Oberois, Marriott , & Hyatt besides some hotels overseas in U.A.E & Maldives. He has strived hard to learn all about setting up pre-opening hotels.

A product of IHM Dadar & The Oberoi School of Management, Chef Nitin's career has included not only an exceptional tenure at the Marriott, but also Hyatt . Passionate about putting out unique presentations, Chef Upadhyay has received advanced specialty education from the masters of the trade in India and Europe.

"I am thrilled to be visiting The Suryaa and to be a part of the journey at the spectacular Ssence," said Chef Nitin. "Because my passion includes chocolate as well as other pastry categories, I am here to partner Chef Bahl in create a whole new dessert offering for the sweet-toothed Delhiites and take focus back to time tested classics."

"Chef Nitin Upadhyay takes the cake as he will be joining the efforts of Chef Bahl in refreshing the pastry department including the creation of dessert menus for the hotel's two signature restaurants Ssence and Sampan, banquet functions, in-room dining, special events and also French Crust" announced General Manager of The Suryaa, Pankaj Mathur who has been the driving force behind the repositioning of Delhi's favourite hotel.
