Wipro Ltd has decided to strengthen its position as a system integrator and increase its focus on IT solutions and services. As a consequence, the company will discontinue manufacturing of Wipro branded desktops, laptops and servers.
The company will however, be present in the PC market by providing suitable brands as a part of its solution offerings in large integrated deals.
Wipro will fulfill its warranty and AMC obligations as per the terms of the existing contracts. The company will execute all customer commitments and provide support services to the entire installed base as part of its regular managed services offering.
Shares of Wipro Ltd was last trading BSE at Rs.493.35, up by Rs.0.85 or 0.17%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.497.50 and intraday low of Rs.486.30.
The total traded quantity was 0.74 lakh shares as compared to 2 week average of 2.15 lakh shares.
