Section of workers on illegal strike at Orchid Chemicals' Alathur - API Plant

Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd has announced that a section of the workmen at the Company's Alathur - API Plant are on an illegal strike, demanding increase in wages & benefits. The Management is working very closely with the State Government Labour Department to resolve the issues.

The operations are being carried on with the majority of personnel attending the duties.

The stock closed the day at Rs.265, down by Rs.4.25 or 1.58%. The total traded quantity was 95922 compared to 2 week average of 371946. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.274.80 and low of Rs.264.40.
