BRPL Q4 net profit at Rs.18.10 crores, declares 35% dividend

Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd (BRPL) has announced the financial results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2007. The Unaudited results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2007 are as follows: The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 181.00 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 306.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total Income (net of excise) has decreased from Rs 14907.20 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 12137.60 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

The Audited results for the Year ended March 31, 2007 are as follows: The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 1849.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 1747.60 million for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total Income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 56740.20 million for the year ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 58334.70 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on May 16, 2007, inter alia, has recommended a dividend of Rs 3.50 per equity share of Rs 10/- each (fully paid) for the year 2006-07.
