Fresh Produce India, India's only international fresh produce conference event, is scheduled for 4-6 April 2013 in Bangalore with a dynamic programme intended to help delegates to get the most out of the opportunities in one of the world's most exciting emerging fresh fruit and vegetable markets.
This one of kind show provides a forum to discuss the latest trends and developments in the Indian fresh produce sector and an opportunity to develop new international business contacts. Retail reforms, foreign entry strategies, new areas of growth for imports, and export diversification are some of the key themes up for discussion during the three-day event, which takes place at the deluxe Sheraton Brigade Gateway Hotel in Bangalore.
The conference will kick off with a look at India's changing socio-economic landscape, and examine the impact and implications of recent reforms, such as the move to allow foreign direct investment in the country's supermarket retail sector.
Global players in the fresh produce business have long seen India solely as an import-export opportunity, but the second session will investigate the potential to get involved on the ground. From partnerships to provide technical expertise to strategic investments in horticultural operations, the session will explore a range of models.
In addition to taking part in the programme of five conference sessions, delegates will enjoy extensive opportunities to network and do business through numerous networking breaks at Fresh Produce India Expo, and two cocktail receptions.
New for this year, Fresh Produce India will feature a full day of optional study tours on 6 April. Bangalore has a thriving modern food retail scene, and delegates will get the opportunity to see a range of the city's leading stores on the Market Track, which will also visit the city's bustling APMC wholesale market.
Meanwhile, a concurrent Production Track option will visit some pioneering local production and processing operations taking a whole-of-supply chain approach.
Fresh Produce India is certainly a great platform for people in the business to connect with industry experts and key players to maximize their business within the region.
