Dhampure Specialty approves amalgamation of Dhampur Alco Chem Ltd

Dhampure Specialty Sugars Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on April 30, 2007, inter alia, has approved 'in-principle' amalgamation of the Company with M/s Dhampur Alco Chem Ltd.

Board has appointed consultant(s) to work out the Share Exchange Ratio and for preparation of Scheme etc.

The stock closed the day at Rs.83, up by Rs.0.90 or 1.10%. The total traded quantity was 7445 compared to 2 week average of 22621. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.83.90 and low of Rs.78.
