Alstom Projects Q4 net profit at Rs.362 million, recommends Rs.10 dividend

Alstom Projects India Ltd has announced the results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2007. The Unaudited results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2007: The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 362 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 206 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 2591 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 4315 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

The Audited results for the Year ended March 31, 2007: The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 1094 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 462 million for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 9696 million for the year ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 12545 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The Audited consolidated results for the Year ended March 31, 2007: The Group has posted a net profit after minority interest of Rs 1114 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 480 million for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 9712 million for the year ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 12565 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The stock closed the day at Rs.475.55, up by Rs.12.15 or 2.62%. The total traded quantity was 87876 compared to 2 week average of 103372. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.489.90 and low of Rs.430.

The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on April 30, 2007, inter alia, has recommended a dividend of Rs 10/- per share.
