Karnataka Bank adds 1 lakh new customers through CASA campaign in 1 month

Karnataka Bank Ltd has launched CASA campaign from November 15, 2012 to February 28, 2013. Through this campaign the bank will educate public about the banking services and bring them under financial inclusion.

This CASA campaign has already generated encouraging results and more than 1 lakh new customers are added in a short period of one month. The bank has plans to canvas 5 lakh accounts during the CASA campaign period ending on February 28, 2013.

"The Bank has launched road show to inform general public about the benefits of opening an account at the bank as well as to highlight the benefits of new housing loand and car loan schemes", said P Jayarama Bhat, Managing Director of the bank.

The Karnataka Bank Ltd stock closed the day at Rs.162.85, down by Rs.0.80 or 0.49%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.167.30 and low of Rs.162.05.

The total traded quantity was 13.10 kajgs compared to 2 week average of 22.87 lakhs.
