Fire at Khaitan Electricals Poanta Sahib Unit

Khaitan Electricals Ltd has announced that Fire Broke out at Company's Poanta Sahib Unit (Himachal Pradesh) on April 02, 2007.

While loss due to fire is under assessment, the Company is confident of resuming operations very shortly and expected to achieve normalcy in 3 Weeks. The Company has also taken steps to increase production at Company's other units at Hyderabad & Kolkata and do not expect any significant impact in dispatches to market. All Stocks and assets are covered by insurance.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs.112.20, up by Rs.1.20 or 1.08%.
