Godawari Power adds additional 2,60,000 TPA capacity of Sponge Iron

Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd has announced that an additional 2,60,000 TPA capacity Sponge Iron manufacturing facility has been commissioned at the Company's Siltara Industrial Complex (C.G) and started production from March 31, 2007 onwards.

The existing Sponge Iron manufacturing capacity of the Company is 2,35,000 MT per annum and now with the installation, commissioning and commencement of production in the additional Sponge Iron manufacturing facility, the Installed Capacity of the Company's Sponge Iron plant stands increased to 4,95,000 MT per annum with effect from March 31, 2007.

Further the Company has informed that, the Company's expansion programme for increasing the Power generation capacity from 28 MW to 53 MW, Steel production from 2,50,000 MTs to 4,00,000 MTs and Wire Drawing form 60,000 MTs to 1,20,000 MTs per annum are in the process of commencing and are expected to commence by the end of this month.
