Oudh Sugar Mills Ltd has announced about the following:
New Swadeshi Sugar Mills a unit of the Company has been granted ISO: 9001:2000 certification for the manufacture and sale of sugar and its by-products.
The Company is in the process of implementing various capital projects with an aggregate investment of Rs 4790 million. At the completion of these projects the Company will have a consolidated crushing capacity of 28,700 TCD, captive power generation of 30 MW and two distilleries of 75 kilo litres per day (klpd).
The expansion of Hargaon Sugar Mills, Hargaon (U.P.) a unit of the Company, from 7500 tonnes crushing daily (TCD) to 10000 TCD with a co-generation plant of 8 MW at a capital outlay of about Rs 1160.60 million is progressing satisfactorily and is expected to go on stream from the start of crushing operations for the season 2006-07.
The sugarcane crushing capacity of New Swadeshi Sugar Mills, Narkatiaganj (Bihar), a unit of the Company, is being expanded from 6500 TCD to 7500 TCD with a co-generation plant of 5 MW at a cost Rs 270 million.
The Company is in the process of setting up a Greenfield plant at Hatta, Gorakhpur (U.P.) at an estimated cost of Rs 3360 million with a capacity of 7000 tcd and co-generation plant of 17 MW. The plant will be fully operational by November, 2008.
Presently the Company has three sugar manufacturing units (two in U.P. and one in Bihar) and will achieve an aggregate crushing capacity of about 21,700 tonnes crushing per day (tcd) in the forthcoming season. It has also two distilleries at Hargaon (U.P.), Narkatiaganj (Bihar) and a fruit & vegetable processing factory at Allahabad (U.P).
