IndiGo expands its Middle East footprint with new Bengaluru-Riyadh direct flights, starting 16 November 2025 
              The Minister of Railways, Kumari Mamata Banerjee has said that there is a need to develop special types of coaches for the physically challenged and senior citizens.
Presenting the Railway Budget for the year 2010-11 in the Lok Sabha today, she said that with the upsurge in the economy, there has been an unprecedented growth of passenger traffic during the last five years resulting in increased requirement of passenger coaches.
She said that to overcome the shortage of coaches, we have to plan years in advance and therefore, the Railways are taking steps to set up new coach factories.
