HCL Technologies Ltd has announced that the Company and Hewlett-Packard (HP) on January 17, 2007, inaugurated EnsureIT - an IT management program resulting in assured IT performance for Company's BPO division ("HCL BPO"). With EnsureIT, HCL BPO will be the first BPO in the country to successfully deploy the ITIL based management solution - uniquely positioning it to expand its service offerings to its global customers.
Spread across 8 geographically dispersed centers and with a workforce of more than 11,000 employees, HCL BPO will now leverage EnsureIT as the single point of contact for end-user management. The newly deployed infrastructure management services will harness 400 plus server & network infrastructure at HCL BPO.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ranjit Narasimhan, President and CEO of HCL BPO said, "HCL BPO is constantly looking for ways to optimize end-user satisfaction. As part of the partnership agreement, HCL BPO has deployed the entire suite of HP OpenView products to create service offerings for their customers. It has demonstrated a stringent commitment to international benchmarks of IT service management including ITIL & ISO 20000. The business needs being addressed by the EnsureIT include, proactive monitoring of all infrastructure components, quick restoration of service in case of downtime, SLA (service level agreement) driven quality of service, impact on revenue and real-time information alerts to all stakeholders through multiple channels including email, SMS & mobile.
