              New Delhi - January 5, 2010: MapmyIndia, India's leader in maps and GPS navigation solutions, was today awarded the Auto Bild Golden Steering Wheel award 2010 for Best Product/Service for 2010 for the MapmyIndia VX140 GPS navigator. The other nominees in the category were Carnation, Sony audio systems, Xenos car security and Micro halogen bulbs. The award was given at a gala ceremony at the Le Meridien Hotel, New Delhi. MapmyIndia's VX140 navigator was selected for the Best Product/Service for 2010 by a jury constituting personalities from various walks of life - auto enthusiasts, auto engineers, celebrities etc.
MapmyIndia is committed to introducing innovative new GPS products for the Indian car traveler. The Golden Steering Wheel award is an acknowledgement of MapmyIndia's efforts in the expanding Indian GPS navigation industry. The company plans to launch more such products in the next few months, which will redefine the navigation industry.
The Golden Steering Wheel award was instituted instituted by the Axel Springer in 1976, the parent company of Auto Bild, and has been awarded annually since then. The awards are recognized in 32 countries and are considered to be the last word in auto awards.
