IndiGo expands its Middle East footprint with new Bengaluru-Riyadh direct flights, starting 16 November 2025 
              The Finance Minister, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has proposed to allocate Rs. 500 crore for the rehabilitation of the internally displaced persons and reconstruction of the Northern and Eastern areas of Sri Lanka. While presenting the Union Budget for the year 2009-10 in Lok Sabha today, Shri Mukherjee stated that the Government is committed to ensure that the Sri Lankan Tamils enjoy their rights and legitimate aspirations within the territorial sovereignty and framework of Sri Lanka's Constitution. The Ministry of External Affairs is working closely with the Sri Lankan Government in this regard, he added.
