Royal Enfield Registers 27% Sales Growth in June 2026

Eicher Motors Limited has announced the monthly and quarterly sales performance for its motorcycle division, Royal Enfield, covering June 2026 and the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27.

Royal Enfield posted monthly sales of 1,14,032 motorcycles in June 2026 and witnessed a 27% growth over the same period last year against 89,540 motorcycles sold. The company began customer deliveries of its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, during the month.

Consolidated Sales Performance for June 2026

Royal Enfield clocked total global sales of 1,14,032 motorcycles in June 2026, delivering a strong 27% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to the 89,540 units sold in June 2025.

Segment Breakdown by Engine Capacity

Models up to 350cc: The company's core mid-size portfolio (including models like the Hunter 350, Bullet 350, and Classic 350) served as the primary growth engine. This segment surged 36% to 1,04,139 units in June 2026, up from 76,680 units in the corresponding month last year.

Models exceeding 350cc: Higher-capacity motorcycles saw a volume moderation, declining 23% to 9,893 units compared to 12,860 units recorded in June 2025.

Geographical Distribution

The monthly performance was propelled entirely by intense domestic demand, which successfully cushioned a minor macro-slowdown in international shipments. Domestic dispatches accelerated by 34% to reach 1,02,930 units against 76,957 units in June 2025. On the other hand, exports under the international business segment adjusted downwards by 12%, closing the month at 11,102 units compared to 12,583 units in the prior year's period.

Cumulative First-Quarter Volume Review (YTD)

The aggregate numbers across the first three months of the fiscal cycle (April to June 2026) confirm a healthy upward trajectory for the brand. Total cumulative sales reached 3,30,427 units, marking a 24% expansion over the 2,65,528 motorcycles delivered during Q1 of the previous fiscal year.

Cumulative Domestic YTD: Total domestic volumes grew 32% to finish the quarter at 3,01,174 units, pulling ahead of the 2,28,779 units tracked by this point last year.

Cumulative Exports YTD: International trade volumes for the quarter recorded 29,253 units against 36,749 units in Q1 FY 2025-26, reflecting a 20% decline.

Strategic Brand and Business Updates

Beyond quantitative sales, June 2026 stood out as a milestone period for Royal Enfield's technological transition, community engagements, and heritage celebrations:

Flying Flea EV Launch: The company officially commenced customer deliveries of the Flying Flea C6 electric motorcycle in Bengaluru. To anchor its new City+ electric mobility ecosystem, the brand has deployed an integrated network featuring hub-and-spoke service facilities, specialized shop-in-shop retail spaces, and 24x7 roadside assistance. Rollouts will proceed via a phased city-by-city expansion strategy.

125th Anniversary Milestone: Royal Enfield commemorated its 125-year history by unveiling a "World Origin Site" plaque at its original factory location in Redditch, England. The event featured a five-generation motorcycle showcase, spotlighting the 2026 Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition.

Community & Experiential Rides: The brand launched registrations for its first-of-its-kind adventure gathering-the Himalayan Basecamp: Ladakh Edition-scheduled for September 2026 in Leh. Additionally, the landmark 22nd edition of the iconic Himalayan Odyssey was flagged off on 27th June 2026, introducing three distinct ride formats (Original, Explore, and the Nubra Circuit) while continuing its focus on sustainable travel.

Speaking about the performance for June 2026, B. Govindarajan, Managing Director - Eicher Motors Ltd. and Chief Executive Officer - Royal Enfield, said, "June 2026 was a milestone month for us as we began customer deliveries of the Flying Flea C6 from Bengaluru.
