NLC India Ltd granted composite licence for Limestone and Phosphorite blocks in Chhattisgarh

NLC India Limited (NLCIL) participated in the Tranche-V auction of Critical and Strategic Minerals conducted by the Ministry of Mines and emerged as the Preferred Bidder for Semhardih Phosphorite & Limestone Block and Raipura Phosphorite & Limestone Block, Balod District, Chhattisgarh on 27.05.2025. Subsequently, NLCIL has submitted Performance Securities for both the blocks to the Government of Chhattisgarh on 10.06.2025. The Letter of Intent (LoI) for Composite Licence from the State Government of Chhattisgarh issued on 02.09.2025 for both the blocks. NLCIL has prepared and submitted the Scheme of Prospecting to the Director of Geology and Mining, Govt. of Chhattisgarh on 30.03.2026.

A composite licence has been granted for Semhardih Phosphorite & Limestone Block and Raipura Phosphorite & Limestone Block vide letter Nos. LAND-4401/29/2025-MRD and LAND-4401/30/2025-MRD dated 24.04.2026 respectively by Mineral Resources Department, Govt. of Chhattisgarh to carry out detailed geological exploration in the blocks.

Shares of NLC India Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 298.70 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 296.65. The total number of shares traded during the day was 531241 in over 5595 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 307.15 and intraday low of 293.25. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 158062534.00.
