SKM Egg Products Export India Ltd updates on bird flu issues

SKM Egg Products Export (India) Limited has announced that there are no bird flu issues in Tamil Nadu, wherein our company's Poultry farms are located. All our eggs are produced in Tamil Nadu only and our company has no operations in Kerala where avian influenza cases reported. Further our company's own Poultry farm is avian influenza free compartment farm, which is recognized by Govt of India, thereby the birds are on continuous surveillance in regular frequency to keep away from Avian influenza, new castle and salmonella.

Moreover, authorities in Tamil Nadu have intensified surveillance along the border districts in Tamil Nadu to prevent the disease from spreading into the state. Enhanced monitoring has also been put in place. Acting on the directions of the Animal Husbandry Department, special preventive measures have also been initiated.

Hence, we hereby inform all the stake holders that our company has been taking all precautions measures, strict surveillance and enhanced monitoring system; and health conditions of our company's layer birds are in stable and healthy; thereby day to day egg production activities in our poultry farms are being carried out without any threat and barriers.

Shares of SKM Egg Products Export (India) Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 369.85 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 409.00. The total number of shares traded during the day was 27830 in over 1173 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 404.95 and intraday low of 366.20. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 10508197.00.
