Refex Industries Ltd clarifies regarding IT raids news in the electronic media

Refex Industries Ltd has clarified with reference to the news/reports circulated by some print and electronic media, stating that 'certain premises related to the Refex Group in Chennai was subjected to Search operation by the Income Tax Department ("IT Dept.")'.

We hereby inform that the Income Tax Department conducted search operations at the registered office of the Company and certain other locations associated with the Refex Group. The search operations commenced on December 09, 2025.

During the entire process, the Company and its officers extended full cooperation to the authorities and have provided all relevant information as required.

The Company shall continue to provide necessary updates to the Stock Exchanges as and when any further reportable event arises, in compliance with SEBI Listing Regulations. The Company's business operations are completely unaffected by the search operations and continuing without any interruption.

Meanwhile, it has come to our notice that several media articles and social media posts have been circulating regarding the ongoing matter. These articles have appeared even though the search operations were still underway and no official communication has been issued either by the authorities or by the Company.

We submit that certain vested-interest individuals / entities appear to have circulated incorrect, misleading and baseless information with mala fide intention to take undue advantage of the situation. The Company categorically denies and strongly rejects such speculative media reports, which narrate false and misleading stories unrelated to the facts. The facts, information and numbers published in the media articles and social media pots are absolutely and completely misleading and incorrect without any substance and base.

The process is going on, and the Company shall continue to cooperate with the authorities under the advice of its legal experts. The Company remains committed to transparency and shall make disclosures to stakeholders at the appropriate time in accordance with applicable laws.
