Goa Carbon Limited ("the Company") has received an Order Giving Effect u/s 260A bearing DIN ITBA/GEA/M/260A/2025-26/1082424734(1) 1999-2000, dated 10th November 2025 issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax Department, Circle 1(1), Panaji, Goa for Assessment Year 1999-2000 for giving effect to the Order passed by Hon'ble High Court of Bombay at Goa vide its order dated 8thSeptember 2011. The Hon'ble High Court of Bombay at Goa in its abovementioned order had quashed and set aside the order of the ITAT and CIT(A) on the disallowances under Section 80HHC of the Income Tax Act. Accordingly, the Income Tax Department has now given effect to the Order of Hon'ble High Court of Bombay at Goa and granted a refund of Rs. 5.29 crores including interest. The said Order has been received by the Company over its registered email id on 25thNovember 2025.
In addition to above, the Company has also received Order Giving Effect u/s 250 bearing DIN ITBA/GEA/M/250/2025-26/1082583488(1), dated 13thNovember 2025 issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax Department, Circle 1(1), Panaji, Goa for Assessment Year 2009-10 for giving effect to the Orders passed by CIT (A). The Company had received favourable Orders from the CIT (A) and now Income Tax Department has passed Order Giving Effect to the Orders of the CIT (A) and has granted a refund of Rs. 2.32 crores including interest. The said Order has been uploaded and received by the Company through Income Tax Web Portal on 26thNovember 2025.
