NTPC discontinues operations of NTPC Tanda Thermal Power Station, Stage I

Consequent upon the due approval of the competent authority and communication dated 04.09.2025 to Central Electricity Authority (CEA), it is hereby informed that operations of NTPC Tanda Thermal Power Station, Stage-I comprising of four units of 110 MW each, have been permanently discontinued w.e.f. 01.09.2025.

With this, the total installed and commercial capacity of NTPC group has become 82,926 MW.

Shares of NTPC Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 330.20 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 334.35. The total number of shares traded during the day was 1245060 in over 7111 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 334.80 and intraday low of 329.30. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 415460247.00.
