Selan Exploration Technology is pleased to announce the commencement of production from the Mukkamala Field within the Dangeru Contract Area (KG/ONDSF/DANGERU/2021) in the onshore Krishna-Godavari (KG) Basin. This milestone marks Selan's first production outside the Cambay Basin.
The Dangeru Contract Area is among the four contract areas acquired through Selan's merger with Antelopus Energy Private Limited, approved by the Hon'ble National Company Law Tribunal vide order dated June 10, 2025 (as rectified by order dated July 01, 2025 and received by the Company on July 03, 2025). Selan owns 100% of the participating interest in this field.
Production from this field involved a successful workover and hydraulic fracturing of the Muk-1 well, completed in the prolific Raghavapuram Shale reservoir.
Key operational highlights:
- Initial tested flow rate: ~0.5 MMscfd (~80 boepd) at ~5000 psig wellhead pressure and with minimal choke
- Expected single well flow potential: in excess of 6 MMscfd (~1000 boepd) based on current well performance
Gas sales are starting having connected the well through existing ONGC flowline to ONGC's Pasarlapudi processing facilities. The end customers are getting delivery of gas through GAIL's existing pipeline system in the onshore KG basin.
Production is planned to be ramped up using the same system in the short term and creating new infrastructure in the longer term. Selan is actively working to enhance gas sales and maximize resource monetization.
The Dangeru Contract Area spans ~140 sq. km. and includes two gas discoveries - Mukkamala and Dangeru - awarded under the Discovered Small Field Policy (DSF-III) on September 09, 2022. Petroleum Mining License (PML) was granted on February 06, 2025.
This achievement demonstrates Selan's operational capabilities beyond Cambay Basin, reinforcing its commitment to strategic growth, efficient resource development, and value creation for shareholders.
