As part of Sundaram-Clayton Limited's ongoing consolidation strategy and in an effort to optimize production flow and incorporate cutting-edge technology, the Board of Directors at their meeting held today i.e., 6th May 2025, approved the proposal to relocate all machining activities from the Mahindra World City Plant (MWC Plant), located in Chengalpattu Taluk, Kancheepuram District, to the Company's other plants located in Thervoy Kandigai and Oragadam, subject to necessary approvals of the Statutory Authorities.
The company commenced the full-scale operations at its new state-of-the-art mega die-casting facility at Thervoy Kandigai Plant (TKP), Chennai in January 2025.
This strategic move is expected to streamline operations, reduce operational costs, and enhance production efficiency by leveraging the advanced technological infrastructure available at the Thervoy Kandigai and Oragadam plants.
Shares of Sundaram Clayton Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 9187.30 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 9084.60. The total number of shares traded during the day was 151 in over 92 trades.
