Airtel prepays Rs. 8,465 crores to clear high cost deferred liabilities for spectrum acquired in 2016

Bharti Airtel ("Airtel"), one of India's leading telecommunications service providers, today said that it has prepaid Rs. 8,465 crores to the Department of Telecom (Government of India) against spectrum acquired in 2016. These liabilities carried an interest rate of 9.3%.

Shares of Bharti Airtel Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1709.90 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1735.25. The total number of shares traded during the day was 511134 in over 7957 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1732.05 and intraday low of 1704.20. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 875630124.00.
