Airtel prepays Rs. 8,325 crores to clear high cost deferred liabilities for spectrum acquired in 2015

Bharti Airtel ("Airtel"), one of India's leading telecommunications service providers, today said that it has prepaid Rs. 8,325 crores to the Department of Telecom (Government of India) towards part prepayment of the deferred liabilities pertaining to spectrum acquired in auction of year 2015 which were at an interest cost of 10%.

Shares of Bharti Airtel Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1159.20 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1123.00. The total number of shares traded during the day was 141141 in over 15425 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1172.50 and intraday low of 1135.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 163348662.00.
