GRM Overseas Limited, one of India's leading basmati rice exporters and a growing consumer staples player, has announced the appointment of Dr. Anurag Tewari and Mr. Tarun Singh as an Independent Directors to the Board of its unlisted material subsidiary GRM Foodkraft Private Limited.
Dr. Tewari is a seasoned R&D professional, with over 30 years of experience in plant sciences research and the corporate sector. He is currently the Dean - Agricultural Program, at Chitkara University and is also the Chief Consultant with India's leading Agri Consultancy firm, Rising Roots Agriculture Pvt. Ltd. With more than 20 international collaborations in his account, he has notably led the International Finance Corporation & TILDA funded Basmati Rice Water Conservation Project, in association with other organisations. He has expertise in Plant Tissue Culture & Molecular Biology based techniques and undertook various subjects & industrial visits of undergraduate & graduate students. Dr. Tewari holds a Ph.D. in Plant Tissue Culture from Kumaun University, Uttarakhand and a M.Sc. Ag (Molecular Biology & Biotechnology) from G.B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Uttarakhand.
Mr. Tarun Singh is a renowned Techno Commercial-Business HR professional with over 10 years of multi-cultural experience across industries and geographies. Mr. Singh has been associated with multiple professional bodies and management institutes and has been awarded in various forums. Mr. Singh is a regular speaker on a variety of HR areas specializing in Cultural transformation, Change Management and Strategic HR in Product Development organizations. Mr. Singh holds a BA.LL.B (Post-Graduation in Law specializing in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations) from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. He also holds an Independent Director position in GRM Overseas Limited since August 2022.
