Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited reported total revenue of Rs. 942.03 Crore for the quarter ended 30th September 2021 against Rs. 607.05 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Paper production for the quarter ended 30th September, 2021 is 102889 MT against 79817 MT in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Packaging Board production is 50284 MT against 40731 MT in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The Packaging Board unit is generating cash profit in the quarter ended 30th September, 2021.
The company earned Profit before Interest, Depreciation and Tax (PBIDT) of Rs. 105.37 Crore for the quarter ended 30th September, 2021. After providing Rs. 57.62 Crore towards depreciation & amortization and Rs. 40.27 Crore for finance cost, the company earned Profit before tax of Rs. 7.48 Crore for the quarter ended 30th September, 2021 as against loss of Rs. 14.55 Crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year. Profit after tax for the quarter ended 30th September 2021 is Rs. 74.74 Crore as against a loss of Rs. 9.57 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
For the half-year ended 30th September, 2021, the company earned Profit before Interest, Depreciation and Tax (PBIDT) of Rs. 182.71 Crore. After providing Rs. 114.88 Crore towards depreciation & amortization and Rs. 81.19 Crore for finance cost, the company incurred a loss before tax of Rs. 13.36 Crore as against loss of Rs. 45.27 Crore in the corresponding period of previous year. Loss after tax for the half-year ended 30th September 2021 is Rs. 9.03 Crore and against a loss of Rs. 29.58 Crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
