The Board of Directors of Canara Bank has, at its meeting held today, i.e., August 24, 2021, approved the allotment of 16,73,92,032 Equity Shares to eligible qualified institutional buyers at an issue price of Rs.149.35 per Equity Share, aggregating up to Rs.2500 Crore (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Crores only).
The QIP opened on August 17, 2021 and closed on August 23, 2021.
Pursuant to the allotment of Equity Shares in the QIP, the paid - up equity share capital of the Bank stands increased from Rs. 1646.74 Crores to Rs. 1814.13 Crores comprising of 1,81,41,30,252 equity shares of face value of Rs. 10 each.
Shares of Canara Bank was last trading in BSE at Rs. 152.8 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 152.85. The total number of shares traded during the day was 590256 in over 4914 trades.
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 154.6 and intraday low of 148.65. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 89546215.
