On Thursday Indian equity benchmarks made a positive start amid optimism over the unlocking of the economy. Throughout the day Indian market continued to gain strength with broad base participation in the market as breadth remained very strong. For every three gainers, there was a loser. Financial, Metals, Realty, Pharma and Media continue to participate whereas, Auto witnessed supply on higher levels.
In the weekly expiry session, Nifty managed closed with the gains of 102.40 points at 15737.75 whereas Banknifty gained 330 points and closed at 35131.20 levels.
Global markets are waiting for the US inflation data and probable actions by the central bank if any.
In Nifty 50 top gainers Bajajfinserv, Bajfinance, Indusindbank, SBI and Divislab. The losers are Bajaj-auto, Eichermotors, UPL, Adaniport and Shreecem.
