NLC India Limited announces shut down of Unit 5

NLC India Limited has announced that the Unit # 5 of Thermal Power Station II (210 MW) at Neyveli was under shut down subsequent to the fire incident on 01.07.2020. After completion of rectification and on conformity to all statutory requirements, clearances was obtained from Directorate of Industrial safety and health, Tamil Nadu on 11.05.2021 for starting the unit. All the safety compliances as observed by the investigation committees, Statutory Safety audit and independent committee constituted by National Green Tribunal are complied with. Unit was lighted up and resumed its service from 20:11 hrs on 17.05.2021.

Shares of NLC India Ltd was last trading in BSE at Rs.61.2 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 62. The total number of shares traded during the day was 346949 in over 2146 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 63.6 and intraday low of 60.9. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 21421112.
