Triveni Turbine Ltd approves reappointment of Mr. Nikhil Sawhney as MD

The Board of Directors of Triveni Turbine Ltd at their meeting held today i.e. 8th May, 2021 has approved the re-appointment of Mr Nikhil Sawhney (DIN:00029028) as Managing Director (designated as Vice Chairman & Managing Director) of the Company for a period of five years with effect from 10th May, 2021, subject to approval of the shareholders of the Company by way of a special resolution.

Mr Nikhil Sawhney, aged about 45 years, has a Bachelors degree in Arts and a Masters degree in Arts from Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, and a Masters degree in Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He has been voted one of India's forty 'hottest' business leaders under 40 by The Economic Times in 2015, and has been awarded the Udyog Ratna by the Institute of Economic Studies.

Mr Nikhil Sawhney is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Triveni Turbine Ltd. and a Director with Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. He is the Treasurer of the All India Management Association and a member of the Board of Governors of IIM Calcutta. He has helped found the CII-Triveni Water Institute and is an active trustee of the Tirath Ram Shah Charitable Hospital and the Emmanuel College India Trust, as well as a Fellow of the Ananta Aspen Center and the Aspen Global Leadership Network. He is a part of the India-UK, India-Indonesia and India-Israel CEO Forums constituted by the Government of India. Mr Nikhil Sawhney is also Co-Chair of the Track II India-Israel Forum. He is currently the Chairman of the Northern Region for CII.

Shares of TRIVENI TURBINE LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.99.75 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 99.85. The total number of shares traded during the day was 48058 in over 893 trades.
