Commercial Availability of 'Tejnaksh' Urology Simulators

Tejnaksh Healthcare Limited has ready to use simulators which are available commercially. The following simulators developed and patented by the Innovation Division of Tejnaksh Healthcare Limited, headed by Dr. Ashish Rawandale Patil, are now available in the market:

1. Tejnaksh Virtual Fluoroscopy simulator and Tejnaksh Fluoroscopy (X-ray) compatible PCNL Simulator:

PCNL i.e., removal of kidney stones via a small hole in the back using endoscope is a complex surgery to learn, The simulators developed by our company help the new surgeons to train and practice various steps of the PCNL procedure. These simulators are currently in use by the Urological Society of India for the purpose of training of students across India. Many teaching institutes are also using these simulators for their trainees.

The simulators are easy to install and maintain. The recurring cost of these simulators is minimal due to reusable parts.

2. Tejnaksh All-in-One Simulator

The All-in-One simulator is used for practicing various procedures performed through the urinary passage without creating any hole in the body. This can be used to practice removal of stones from urinary bladder, urinary tube (ureter) or kidney. This simulator is being installed at various centers all over India.

3. Tejnaksh Sausage TURP Simulator

TURP - Endoscopic removal of the prostate. Prostate present in all men enlarges as the age progress. This gland causes urinary problems such as poor stream if urine, recurrent urge to pass urine, urinary tract infections etc. in elderly men above 60 years of age. TURP simulator helps the operator to learn the basic steps of the surgery and use of instruments. This simulator uses breakfast chicken sausage to simulate the prostate gland making it cheap and reusable.

4. Tejnaksh USG guided Renal puncture Simulator

Ultrasonography (USG or Ultrasound) is used sometimes for initial steps of PCNL. This simulator is designed to teach the basics of USG and to utilize it during the surgery.

5. PCNL Logic Simulator

PCNL logic simulator is used to explain the concept of three-dimensional anatomy of inside of the kidney. It also helps to understand the basic principle behind various techniques (Triangulation, Bull's Eye etc.) used to access the kidneys from the skin. This simulator is the first of its kind 3-D concept builder. It is currently used by various centres across the country.

6. Stone Manipulation Simulator

For PCNL after reaching the kidney the stone is broken into smaller pieces so that they can be taken out of the small hole created. The above simulator is designed to practice the handling, breaking and removal of stone from the kidney.
