Engineers India Ltd in consortium with Oil India Ltd to bid for acquiring BPCL's stake in Numaligarh Refinery Limited

Engineers India Ltd (EIL), in consortium with Oil India Ltd (OIL) (OIL being the leader), has decided to bid for acquiring 61.65% stake of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) with EIL taking minority shareholding. This would enable EIL to diversify its business into downstream oil & gas operations.

Shares of ENGINEERS INDIA LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.74.6 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 71.15. The total number of shares traded during the day was 515399 in over 1955 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 75.4 and intraday low of 71.65. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 37970179.
